For Envoys, each Settlement obtains 1 additional Trade privilege for every 110 Envoys worldwide. (Note that this only counts Beggars in Alms houses). By default, 1 additional Citizenship is obtained for every 40 Begging rights granted in that settlement. In addition to the standard Ascension rights that are obtained from previous Civilisation levels, additional Ascension rights can also be obtained from Beggars and Envoys. When a Settlement reaches a new Status, the game notifies you and displays the icon to the left in your news bar. Note that Warehouses does not display the first two Ranks.
